The UK services PMI (PDF) was 48.8 in June 2026, down from 49.3 in May. Business activity fell for the second month in a row, largely driven by a decrease in customer confidence (survey respondents said that the conflict in the Middle East and political uncertainty were to blame). Exports and employment continued to decrease. Although prices continued to rise, the rate of inflation decreased.
